The session will review the leading federal tax developments of July 2021. We will look at the fate of an attorney-CPA who marketed tax reduction strategies to others and who was found by the Tax Court in a 191-page opinion to have understated his own income. We will also go over the case of a Revenue Agent who took his own “tax home” case to court—and lost. We will also review a surprising case that disregards the general 10-year statute of limitations on collection.
